Favorite YouTubers | BookTube Channels I’m Addicted to!

I spend a ridiculous amount of time on YouTube. It’s becoming a problem and at some point, I’ll need to deal with this addiction. But for now, I’m going to try and spread the love of my Booktube channels that I’m constantly watching and impatiently waiting for the new videos from.

Kiera from Kiera’s bookish thoughts also spoke about her favorite Booktubers this month. Make sure to check out her post for more amazing recommendations!

When I first got hooked on BookTube, I used to watch most of the channels that Kiera listed, but in the last 2-3 years, I’ve slowly migrated to some other channels that I love so much.

MY TOP 6 BOOKTUBE CHANNELS

1 – BookswithEmilyFox

The first and probably my TOP Booktuber is Emily Fox from BookswithEmilyFox. Emily is a French Canadian, she also has a beauty channel that I watch only because I really love her personality. If you are looking for Sci-Fi / Fantasy orientated channel, this one is for you! And I also love the fact that she tries books in other genres. Sometimes it works for her, sometimes it doesn’t. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But it’s always very entertaining!

2 – PeruseProject

Regan was the very first booktuber I watched 4 years ago when I discovered that people do talk about books on YouTube, which made me very excited! I’ve been watching her videos ever since. I particularly love her weekend reading vlogs. They are just long enough to put on the background while doing something else (who am I kidding here. I just stare at the video for the full 30 minutes and forget about everything else), but also very motivating to read more. Regan reads  A LOT of fantasy, and she is a big fan of middle-grade books (which I can totally relate to!)

3 – Merphy Napier

I started watching Merphy’s videos when she had around 3k subscribers, and now she is on 36k! Crazy! And I also feel like the content she puts out improved over the years. I really love her monthly wrap-ups and her reading vlogs. I’ve been very into reading vlogs lately. They are just the best type of content to watch while writing posts for my blog. 😀

4 – MercysBookishMusings

Mercedes from MercysBookishMusings is not your regular YA fantasy booktuber. (nothing wrong about YA fantasy btw! 😀 ) And that’s why I love her channel so much, she offers some variety and I’m always drawn to watch her videos when I’m looking for something different to read – be it Literary Fiction or some quirky books.

5 – Elliot Brooks

This was a very recent discovery for me, but I just love Elliot! She has a great personality, she loves fantasy (especially Brandon Sanderson!), she seems to be a very outgoing and funny person. Elliot is also a self-published author and violinist! Her books talks are also very interesting to listen to! Check her violin piece inspired by «Skyward» by Brandon Sanderson:

6 – Book Roast

The creator of OWLs and NEWTs magical read-a-thons, G from Book Roast is not just a fabulous booktuber, she also has the most stunning Bookstagram account. I was her follower on Instagram before she started her youtube channel, it was very interesting to see it grow. I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of unboxing videos, which she does quite a lot, but she is just a very lovely human being, and I love watching her other videos.

These are the Booktubers are love. I also searched for the similar posts on WordPress and unsurprisingly found a lot of posts about favorite YouTubers / Booktubers, that I will link below for even more recommendations:

  1. Great selection! From your list I only know and follow numbers 1 and 4. I also love “Ink and Paper Blog” on youtube. He does not review YA so much, but he always has just amazing literary fiction books to recommend.

  2. Awww I love Peruse Project!! I remember watching her back when I was in high school–I couldn’t get enough! My favorite booktuber has always been Ariel Bissett. Her content has changed a lot over the years, but I still love her videos!!

  3. I did one of these (I think?) last year as well! But even in that year so much has changed in my viewing preferences :] Maybe I should do an updated one! This is great, I think I am going to give Book Roast and Mercy a try :]

  5. Great post! It’s been a while since I watched booktube, but I really should get back to it, because there are so many amazing content creators and it’s a fun way to get excited about books and reading and share the love 🙂 Regan’s channel is one of my favorites too!
