Summer Book Haul | I couldn’t resist these new releases!

Even with COVID-19, quarantine, and many releases being pushed forward, this summer was still particularly good, with tons of new books to choose from. I was lucky to receive quite a lot of ARCs of my most anticipated releases, and the ones I didn’t receive I decided to purchase!

This haul won’t be absurdly huge, but I did get myself a couple of incredible books that I’m dying to get to. Some of them were on my July and August TBRs, but with so many other books (mostly ARCs) that I needed to prioritize, I didn’t get to them all. Some of them are still on their way, as shipping times has been much longer lately [as you all know]. So you might see these books appear on my TBRs for the upcoming months.

What’s on my Kindle? | E-books I recently added to my digital TBR

I’ve never done a Kindle book haul before! In general, I rarely talk about my Kindle, as e-books don’t excite me as much as my physical TBRs. But I’ve been meaning to share with you some of the e-books I got for my Kindle for quite a while now, so this week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme couldn’t be more perfect! Well… maybe not so perfect as the actual theme is to talk about the books you’ve added to the TBR and forgotten why. But let’s just focus on the first part instead.

The Newest Additions to My Bookshelf | The “post” Christmas Bookhaul!

2020 started very well for my bookbuying addiction. I received a few books for Christmas, my “Black Friday” buys finally arrived, and I also treated myself to some more books from the thrift bookshop. I think I will need to implement a rule soon when it comes to book buying at the thrift shop – to only purchase new books after finishing the ones I bought. Otherwise, I can see my TBR shelf getting out of control very quickly.

As of right now, I have approximately 78 unread books on my physical TBR. Considering that I’ve been reading mostly ARCs and E-books in December and January, and probably will continue this trend in February and March, this will become a BIG problem in 2020.

End of the Year Bookhaul | All the books I bought this year and haven’t read yet!

As I’m trying to get all my things organized before the end of 2019, it was about time I’d do my 4th and final book haul of 2019. In September and October I (somehow) accumulated 10 new books, some from the local thrift book store that I recently discovered, and some brand new ones influenced by the latest releases, and my favorite book of 2019 – «The Fountains of Silence» by Ruta Sepetys.

I loved her newest book so much that I just had to purchase her other books!

Birthday Bookhaul | Ft. N.K. Jemisin, Mark Lawrence and Patrick Ness!

My birthday was last month and I had some cupons / gift cards to spend on books, so I might have gone a little crazy with my book shopping spree! But there is nothing more satisfying than new books on my shelves.

April Book Haul | A mix of genres & Brandon Sanderson books!

After reading «Steelheart» by Brandon Sanderson, I decided to go ahead and order the rest of the books in the series and also the 2nd and 3rd books in Mistborn series, so I can finally binge read some Sanderson works!

Me ordering books online can sometimes be a little dangerous. I got slightly carried away and ended up getting some other books that have been on my TBR list for far too long!

The First BookHaul of 2019!

book haul

Many people begin the new year with clearing their bookshelves, to purge and make room for all the new releases of 2019. I, however, am still not ready to give away my books.

Besides, beginning the new year with a book haul, instead of an unhaul is so much more pleasurable! And that is what we are doing today.

Since my last haul in July 2018, I’ve accumulated another 17 books, featured below:

Birthday Book Haul & Book Series Obsession

Bday bookhaul

Uhh… I’m not sure how this happened, but I am definitely not complaining!

A combination of birthday wishes (i.e. BOOKS) + seasonal sales (i.e. BOOKS) + gift cards (i.e. BOOKS) results in another huge book haul! And that means I have to finally put my Kindle down and actually start reading my physical TBR.

Less than a month ago, I’ve posted my May book haul with a TBR poll. This time, please comment down below what book should I read first or which one is your favorite!  Continue reading “Birthday Book Haul & Book Series Obsession”

Book Haul | May 2018 + TBR Poll!

MAY BOOK HAUL

Who knew that I managed to accumulate so many books?! In my defense, I’ve been gathering them since Christmas and I didn’t buy all of them myself. This justifies me placing even more book orders this month, right? Right?? Continue reading “Book Haul | May 2018 + TBR Poll!”

Spring BookHaul | 2017

Spring is a wonderful season. Even though in Portugal you cannot see clear distinctions between the seasons as everything stays green all year around, Spring still is my favourite time of the year. Besides, that is the time of mine and my blog’s anniversaries. It is only right that I celebrate these wonderful events with some book shopping and so I accumulated 14 books for the past three month that I would like to share with all of you. Christmas BookHaul | Because I can never have enough books!

When someone asks me: “Alex, what would you like for Christmas?” My immediate and only answer is BOOKS (or anything bookish). This answer never changes and it is always the same for any other occasions.  Continue reading “Christmas BookHaul | Because I can never have enough books!”
