It is again that time of the year when all goals seem achievable and people are excited to make plans for the future. I didn’t want to be an exception to this rule. Let’s be honest, no one likes to be the black sheep in the herd.
I even tried to make my Reading Goals to look as appealing as possible, in the desperate belief that the visuals will help me to stay on track throughout the whole year, and not just January!
“Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.”
Abraham Lincoln

And to prove to myself that these are not New Year’s resolutions, but actual goals that I 100% intend to achieve, I’ve already started to work on most of them:
- I’ve read two of Philip Pullman books, «Northern Lights» and «The Subtle Knife» – first and second book in His Dark Materials trilogy. The third book I will definitely read this month! So I’m already keeping up with two of my goals.
- The first book that I picked up this year was «Origin» by Dan Brown and I’m LOVING it! Reading is fun, I just had to remind myself about it.
I also want to try and read at least 100 pages every day. Not sure if it will be possible, but I definitely need to spend less time on YouTube.
What reading goals do you hope to achieve in 2019? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy New Year! 🎉 Good luck with all your goals! I used to try and read 100 pages every day, but that got to be really hard. I now do about 50-80 which I find a lot more doable! 🙂

Thank you! Happy New Year!
I’m already failing the goal to read 100 pages everyday… YouTube consumed all of my free time. I think I’ll try 50 pages and then increase if possible 😀

That sounds like a good plan! 🙂

Me and YouTube! It’s destroyed my reading and writing habits. I’m definitely trying to cut down on my watch time this year.

The same! I got into a habit of spending my free time on Youtube when previously I was reading books…

Sometimes I think to myself “I’ll just watch this one video from one BookTuber”, and then it’s two hours later and I’m still watching videos… That needs to stop 😀
