It’s the 1st day of December as I’m writing this post. It’s crazy to think that we only have 30 more days before 2019 is over! Where did the year go? I need time to slow down because there are still tons of things I need to do in 2019!

Read moreAfter a disastrous September, when I had very little time and motivation to read, October turned out to be a much better month. Even though I had just as many (if not more) things on my To-Do list, somehow I was able to embrace my inner “busy bee” and also find some time for myself.
In October I read a total of 7 books! Six of them I was able to finish by October 18th. With such a great start, I was hoping to read 10 or more books by the end of the month but the last two weeks have been particularly busy and didn’t leave much time for anything but work.
Read moreOut of all months of 2019, September was probably the worst one when it comes to reading, and just generally staying on top of things. I donโt know if it was the intense summer reading or the number of books I chose to finally get to in September, but my brain decided to avoid reading at any cost.ย
As a result, Iโve only finished one book in the first half of the month. I began reading ยซGardens of the Moonยป on the 15th of September and started a bunch of other books in the hopes to be able to finish them by the end of this month.
Read moreTo summarize my August reading experience letโs just say that I did EVERYTHING, including writing reviews (Crazy! I know!), except reading books I carefully picked for my NEWTs TBR. ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
Was I expecting this to happen?
Honestly, after such a great experience of the reading rush read-a-thon, I thought Iโd be able to read tons of books in August – the ones on my TBR and the ones that didnโt make it to my NEWTs TBR. Iโm slightly disappointed with myself, but I donโt think I could have forced myself to read more.
Continue reading “August 2019 Wrap Up | Failing NEWTs and increased “ARC”-load!”I always find it difficult to write monthly wrap-ups, especially when life decides to play some pranks on me at the end of the month, making everything so much more difficult.
July began on a very high note, and overall, looking back on it, it was a great month, except a few hick-ups here and there. But most importantly, it was my best reading month so far, with a total of 11 books!
Read moreThe first half of the year is officially over! We only have two more months of summer! I feel like every year time starts passing quicker and quicker, which is very scary to think about. So, instead of thinking about scary things, letโs do a quick (or as quick as possible) recap of June and everything that happened last month.
Read moreMay was good! And when I say good, I mean VERY GOOD. Maybe itโs the sunny weather, or my birthday, or this great community, or for all of these reasons combined Iโve been feeling incredible this past month, and I hope that June will be just the same but with a little bit more reading.
Before I recount everything that happened in May, Iโd like to say BIG BIG THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who took time to like and comment on my posts! This community makes me so happy every single day.
May was great mostly because of your lovely comments, funny tweets, interesting posts and beautiful bookstagram feeds.
Read moreLast month, I was the most productive self – running errands, writing reviews, keeping up with the blog, and reading tons of books. Everything was possible! (you can read my March Wrap Up here!) And then came Aprilโฆ
Did I just blink and March was gone? Or does every month pass quicker and quicker?
So… March! Even though I just said that it passed in a blink of an eye, I (somehow) managed to get a lot of things done.
If I were to pick the word of the month, it would be Productivity. Because for the first 3 weeks of March I was running errands like crazy. Ticking things off my To-Do list along the way. Until I got ill…
That was the first time (the trend of 2019’s firsts continues) in my life that I felt that spike of energy level. It just dropped from 100 to 10 in one night. And the last week has been a struggle to even get up in the mornings.
I consider myself a morning person. When I was in school and Uni, I would never stay late studying. My strategy was to go to bed earlier, so I could wake up at 5 a.m. and revise before the test. The time until around 1 p.m. is when I’m the most productive. So waking up tired was a very nasty experience. Gladly, I’m slowly getting over the cold, pushing through as usual!

Thatโs the dedication! To be fair, this post is long overdue. Basically since the end of January. So I think I have my priorities very straight. The fictional court case can wait. It is fictional after all!
There were new events, long working hours, traveling, books, and many changes. It was by far one of the best years in a long time and I wish 2019 would be just as good, and I will try to make it even better.
2018 was a good year for personal growth, but I completely neglected my blog and books. I barely managed to complete my GoodReads reading goal on time with a total of 51 books. (Actually, 52 as this post goes live, as I managed to power through the 1st book in the His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman!)ย Here you can see the full list of books I read in 2018!
It is the 12th of August as I am writing this and Iโve come to realize that:ย
(A) the summer is almost over! There is only August left and, while I happen to live a walking distance from the beach, Iโve only gone a couple of times this year and I have to remedy this as soon as possible!
(B) Iโve been far more into fantasy this summer with a comparison to last year when all I practically read were contemporary and literary fiction all day every day. And
(C) Throne of Glass is actually an AMAZING SERIES WITH A LOT OF ACTION, DRAMA & BETRAYALS. Who would have thought that Iโd fall in love with Throne of Glass, after absolutely hating the Court of Thorns and Roses?! Itโs a mystery for me too.
*The list could go on and on. I love lists. But who doesnโt?

What seemed like rather uneventful 5 months, turned out to be a very busy time looking back. That is why I love doing wrap-ups so much, they give a perfect overview of my life, of things I did and things still to be done in the future.
This year started just as any other year, with celebrations, hopes and many promises to myself that (A) I will finally go to the gym and (B) get my life under control. Iโm glad to announce that I kept at least one promise to myself, and have been going to the gym for the past 4 months! Continue reading “Spring Wrap Up 2018 | Life, Blog & Reading Update”
I hope you all had a great Easter (everyone who celebrated on the 1st of April), and if you are like me and your Easter is only on the 8th, donโt worry! our time to eat chocolate eggs, pastries and cakes are still ahead of us.
Recently, Iโve posted a list of My Goals for the upcoming months, make sure to check it out if you havenโt yet. I wasnโt able to complete all of them fully, but I made some progress and will continue working on them.

Is it too late to wish everyone a Happy New Year?! Because I feel like I havenโt done that yet on my blog. ย
I had a very slow start this time around. It is taking me forever to sort everything blog and reading related, and get back on track. Which is sad, because I love blogging and everything that comes with it, and when I put it aside, there is a part of me that is missing. But that is a story for another time!
