Scary books to read this month| Books with Fall Vibes!

Last year there was a similar theme: Books That Give Off Autumn Vibes, so I already shared with you my obsession over yellow books. This week’s TTT [Top Ten Tuesday hosted by Jaine @ThatArtsyReaderGirl] is supposed to be about book covers with fall colors / vibes, but to do something a little bit different from what I did before.

Autumn will always associate with “cozy” for me, but considering that we are in October and Halloween is slowly approaching. Besides, this whole month I promised to share with you tons of Spooky / Witchy / Halloweeny reads. It’s only right that my take on this TTT theme is also centered around Halloween and the spookiest month of the year.

Books on my Fall TBR | Fantasy series I want to finish this year!

September was mostly about fantasy series and I’m planning to dedicate more time this year to finish some of the series I’ve started this and last year. Today I’m joining Top Ten Tuesday meme, hosted by Jana @ThatArtsyReaderGirl to share with you my Fall TBR, but mostly to talk about the books I’ll be prioritizing to hopefully finish some series!

I recently organized all of the series I’ve ever started / finished and DNF’d most of them. And was left with 22 series that I’m currently in the middle of. Out of these 22 series: I’m caught up with 6 and I want to finish / caught up with another 8.

TBR | Sea-inspired book covers!

It’s Cover Freebie on Top Ten Tuesday! I’m very excited to see what type of covers all of you decided to feature today. With so many creative people in this community, I’m sure I’ll find some very fun and unexpected posts! ❤

Joining Top Ten Tuesday meme hosted by Jana @ThatArtsyReaderGirl, I decided to combine two of my favorite things: TBR lists and sea. For someone who lives so close to the ocean, I rarely go to the beach, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love the sea itself. I’m just not a huge fan of roasting on the beach. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

TV adaptations I want to watch before the end of the year!

Look at me joining on two Top Ten Tuesday memes in a row! This week we are actually supposed to be talking about Books that Should be Adapted into Netflix Shows/Movies, but since me and my BF are currently looking for a new TV show to watch, I thought I’d take this opportunity to explore the TV world and see if I can find TV shows that appeal to me to watch this year.

Since we finished watching the Walking Dead (there is still one episode left but I don’t know when it will be released *emoji*), I’ve been really struggling to find something captivating enough to watch. We tried «Expanse» and it’s kinda “meh”, in my opinion. Then we tried «The Outsider» and once again it wasn’t that great. We are still watching «The 100», the last two episodes will be coming out this month, but that’s pretty much it.

Books I loved but never reviewed | Talking about some of my favorite books!

Hi, guys! I’m finally joining in on another Top Ten Tuesday topic. It’s been a while since I participated in this meme without tweaking the topic so much it became something else entirely. This week, we’ll be talking about the Books I loved but never reviewed. I think this is a perfect way to shout out some of our favorite books that might have gone unnoticed.

Researching for this post made me realize that I write a lot of reviews! I thought coming up with 10 will be an easy task for today’s post. Oh, I was very wrong. 😅

Books on my summer TBR | Book Haul, Self-education & way too many books!

Hey, guys! I hope all of you are doing well!

2020 has been very tragic, but also very important, year, and we are only halfway through it. From COVID induced quarantine and the need to take care of ourselves and the others to the BLM movement and absolutely horrible events that made the world finally revolt against the injustice and racism, 2020 is one of the most important years of my life and I really hope that we take something from this, learn on our mistakes and try to build a better future for ourselves and for the future generations.

5 Reasons why you need to read the «Winternight Trilogy» by Katherine Arden!

I’m starting a new type of posts of my blogs! [and I’m very excited to finally share this first one with all of you!] I always struggled to write reviews for sequels – not many people are interested in reading a review for a 2nd, 3rd or 10th book in the series when they haven’t even started the series yet or aren’t caught up to the point where they can freely read the review and not being afraid of spoilers.

Besides, how much information is enough to convey my thoughts and not spoil the previous books?

6 Book Series I would have loved more if I’d read them as a child!

“The whole world opened up to me when I learned to read”
– Mary McCleod Bethune

I won’t be sharing embarrassing photos of me as a kid today [I might save them for my birthday post]. But we will be talking about a much younger version of me. Interestingly enough, my taste in books hasn’t really changed a lot since I was a kid. I still read fantasy and thrillers/detective novels, and love them with all my heart! 😀

Last year, I made a handy dandy infographic of My Reading Journey that I will leave linked here if you’re interested to see what books and genres I loved during certain periods of my life.

10 Favorite Books I rarely talk about!

I love this week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic so much! Today we are talking about all those books that we really loved but that don’t usually fit into book tags or that we just forget about. As I read more and more books every year, I tend to talk more about my current reads, about most recent favorites and also all those books I will definitely read one day. With that, all other amazing books that deserved 5-stars two or three (or more) years ago were swept to the side.

7 Books I want to read because… | Book covers inspired by Russian Folk Art!

There is something so appealing about Russian folk art inspired covers, isn’t there? The very first book done in this style that caught my attention was «The Bear and the Nightingale» by Katherine Arden. I was lucky to get the ARC of the first book through NetGalley, but when I fell in love with the story and saw the final book cover from Del Rey (Penguin UK) I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I don’t buy the book immediately to display on my shelf.

Unread books on my shelves with single word title | This would make a great reading challenge!

It’s been too long since my last Top Ten Tuesday post! Hi, everyone, and hope you’re loving this week’s TTT theme. As I was preparing my post, I found a lot of books with single word titles. And apparently, Sci-Fi books are all about the single-word titles! I was even planning to make a list of Sci-Fi books with a one-word title that I really want to read, but some of them I don’t own and I wanted this list to be more realistic.

Books on my TBR I predict will be 5-star reads | Another reading challenge!

My February TBR (link) is already looking too long for me to add any books to it, but I’ve been meaning to participate in one of this “5-star prediction” challenges in a very long time, and couldn’t pass this opportunity! Hence why I’m making another list of books-to-read in the nearest future, and I hope that I will actually read these books soon!

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday (link) topic is Books on my TBR I predict will be 5-star reads, and because my TBR is so vast, and my time to read books is limited, I decided to pick 5 books from my physical TBR that I think I’ll absolutely love, that aren’t first books in the series, and challenge myself to read them during the next couple of months. Wish me luck!

The Newest Additions to My Bookshelf | The “post” Christmas Bookhaul!

2020 started very well for my bookbuying addiction. I received a few books for Christmas, my “Black Friday” buys finally arrived, and I also treated myself to some more books from the thrift bookshop. I think I will need to implement a rule soon when it comes to book buying at the thrift shop – to only purchase new books after finishing the ones I bought. Otherwise, I can see my TBR shelf getting out of control very quickly.

As of right now, I have approximately 78 unread books on my physical TBR. Considering that I’ve been reading mostly ARCs and E-books in December and January, and probably will continue this trend in February and March, this will become a BIG problem in 2020.

Books I Hope to Find Under the Christmas Tree | ft. 2019 Releases I don’t own yet

This Top Ten Tuesday topic should have been one of the first ones in December, so I could sneakily show my boyfriend this list and would maybe get some of these books for Christmas! It’s Christmas Eve and now all is left to do is try to post this as early as possible to give him time to run to the bookstore that should still be open in the morning.

My Long Christmas Break “To Do” List | Getting ready for the new year!

Alright, guys! This week’s TTT (Top Ten Tuesday) topic is very similar to the Holiday Reads Recommendations, and I also posted my December Goals earlier this month where I mentioned all of the books I need (and want) to finish before the end of the year. So, of course, I will be focusing on those during my Christmas Break!

Since I didn’t want to repeat myself, and mention re-reading Harry Potter for the 10th time in one week, but I’d still love to participate in this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, I decided to share with you top 8 of my organizational task I’m planning to do during the holiday break! (I know! Super exciting!)
