It feels like July was the busiest month so far (and it feels like I say that every month), equally so at work and “school”. I finally finished my papers for the Lawyers Bar and delivered them in the last week of July! The first phase is done, over, completed… I intend to not think about it for at least 8 more happy weeks. For me, March was not the best reading month, was always busy at work and at uni and it was hard to squeeze some time for reading in between. But I figured out that I tend to read way more when I have an e-book either on my tablet or on my phone (usually on my phone), as I travel a lot during the week it is easier to pull out your phone and keep reading, sometimes even in classes (don’t tell anyone please!).
I’ve read a total of 7 books and I DNF’d one..
Haruki Murakami just wasn’t for me. His short stories told me nothing and it was too boring to continue reading. I am not completely giving up on his writing but I might wait until a more appropriate set of mind before giving him another chance.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Kill School by Karen Carr were by far my most favorite books this month. Karen Carr is already working on a sequel and I cannot wait for the next book!

What do you know about Norse mythology? Greek mythology is very popular among book writers, the most notable example would be the Persy Jackson series, that has a sizable audience (I still haven’t read any book in the series and I am very ashamed to admit it, but I eventually will get there, promise!).
Runes series by Ednah Walters is a YA paranormal tales built in a modern world with connection to Norse mythology. Odin, Freya, Loki, Norns – these were the names I’ve heard before and even knew some myths around or at least what they represented, it was entertaining seeing how it all got connected and developed with our main characters.
