This is my first experience reading a David Bell book and, honestly, I enjoyed it! For a book of almost 500 pages, it reads very quickly because it is impossible to take a break as there are still so many mysteries to unravel! It seems that even Publishers are taking some time off in July, because compared to the previous months, this one will be the quietest of them all!
Or maybe I am just waiting for more Fantasy / Dystopian / Sci Fi books while summer is all about contemporary? I am not sure! What I am sure about, is that there are only 3 books that I would like to get your attention to. Continue reading “My most anticipated releases | July 2017”
I tend to rate the books I read right after I finish them, the memories are vivid, my heart is pounding and I probably just wiped the remaining tears from my cheeks – there is no better moment to decide how much I loved the book.
However, from time to time, after a couple of days, weeks or even months, I go back and change the rating after reflecting on it for a while.
The same happened to this book, I gave it full 5 stars after reading it in one sitting. After few days of constantly thinking: “Was it really that flawless?” I had to change it to 4 stars, and share my thoughts with all of you! Continue reading “The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr |An unbelievable adventure through memories or the tricks of a cruel mind?”
How far would you go to find THE ONE?
One simple mouth swab is all it takes.
One tiny DNA test to find your perfect partner – the one you’re genetically made for. Continue reading “The One by John Marrs | Do you believe in Soul Mates? What if science decided it for you?”
It is that time of the month to check the list of all new releases and pick the ones I am absolutely dying to read right away! In my previous post, May TBR, I’ve already mentioned tons of excited books that I am going to read this month, so you might see few familiar titles. Continue reading “My Most Anticipated Releases | May 2017”
Where do I even begin?
There are certain rules I make myself follow when it comes to ARCs that I receive for a review, or any other books in general:
- Don’t read too much about the book or author before reading it;
- Don’t read any reviews before writing down my own thoughts;
- Don’t hurry into rating the book you are not sure about; and
- It is okay to change your rating few days after when all the thoughts and feelings had time to sink in.
I was particularly excited about this novel, written by the famous Ann Brashares, author of the well-renowned «The Sisterhood of Travelling Pants». I must admit that I’ve never read the book, but I watched and loved all of the movies, starring my beloved Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel. Continue reading “The Whole Thing Together by Ann Brashares | An exquisite web of complicated family relationships”
April will be full of contemporary releases, that I am not super obsessed with. But I love doing this post because (A) they help me staying on top of new releases and (B) you guys love it as well.
This month I am picking up the most popular books that I might or might not get my hands on. Continue reading “My Most Anticipated Releases | April 2017”
One of the most anticipated YA reads of this December is a first book in a new fantasy series and I must say I love the cover! Not many authors get lucky with their cover art, but this one is definitely one of the best ones out there (Yes, I know! Nothing can compare to «The Sun is Also a Star» by Nicola Yoon. We all agree on this one). Continue reading “Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill |A new series to add to our ‘follow’ list?”
