There is only one downside to these “most anticipated releases” posts – I tend to request too many ARCs on Netgalley. Then they all get approved at the same time and I suddenly have tons of books that need to be read ASAP!
I still love seeing new releases and pick a few that spark my interest to share them on my blog.
July will be a great month for new releases! I’m the most excited about «The Merciful Crow» (that I didn’t get the ARC of) and «Stay and Fight» (that I’m going to start reading this week!).
One of the most anticipated releases of this month, «Sorcery of Thorns» by Margaret Rogerson made me fall in love with gigantic libraries, enchanted books, witty sorcerers and one brave apprentice librarian. As I plunged into the story, my reader heart immediately warmed up towards Elisabeth Scrivener, the orphan raised in the Great Library of Summershall, whose only big desire was to become a warden.
She was to be a warden, keeper of books and words. She was their friend. Their steward. Their jailer. And if need be, their destroyer.
Unlike May, June doesn’t have 300 new books that I’m excited to read. In fact, I was only able to find 8 books I was interested in! (Which usually never happens, as I want to read everything and at the same time!)
«The Farm» is the new Literary Fiction novel that most likely will become a bestseller in just a couple of weeks. From the gorgeous cover to the carefully crafted plot, this book immediately stands out from the crowd of newly released adult fiction!
Some month I struggle to find new books to add to this post. While other months, there are so many of them that it becomes difficult to narrow the list down. This was the case for April. This post could go on and on forever!
I can’t even imagine what May will be like. Most of my current ARCs will be published in May and I haven’t even checked other new releases yet. But one step at a time! Let’s see what April brings us!
There are some months that are filled with the new and most excited releases (it seems as though Publishers much prefer January / May and September over the other months!) and then there are months when I browse the New Releases page on GoodReads / BookDepository and other websites for many many hours, and still cannot find anything that excites me.
In March, there were only 7 books that looked somewhat promising.
This year is going to have some of the most anticipated books on my list. To say that I’m excited would be an understatement. Just for the month of January, I managed to compile a list of 12 books that I’m looking forward to.
Months are flying so quickly! Just “yesterday” I posted my most anticipated releases for the month of June and now it’s already the 1st of July. Somehow time has been escaping me this year. Any tips on how to make it go slower? *idea for a new blog post *wink*
Uhh… I’m not sure how this happened, but I am definitely not complaining!
A combination of birthday wishes (i.e. BOOKS) + seasonal sales (i.e. BOOKS) + gift cards (i.e. BOOKS) results in another huge book haul! And that means I have to finally put my Kindle down and actually start reading my physical TBR.
These posts are dangerous. Dangerous to my shelves and most importantly my wallet. Just when I thought I would give my wallet and bank account some rest from all the bookish purchases (my birthday was last month and I went a little bit overboard with book orders, oops…) here we are with more exciting new releases. Andy Weir’s «The Martian» was a real boom, especially after the movie starring Matt Damon. I admit that I only learned about the book after hearing so much hype around the movie. The novel was astounding! Emotional, yet incredibly witty. Mark Watney was a delight of a character to follow. Science, jokes, life threatening crises – it had everything!
I’ve been loving this monthly “meme” of mine – looking for new releases, see what everyone else is excited about and just staying on top of the bookish market. So of course October was not going to be an exception and here I am once more to list all of the new booksI am the most excited about!
We had a massive influx of new and exciting books in September, and October is kind of falling behind, not being able to weigh up to September’s hype. But that is alright, we, readers, do need calmer months to make sure we have the time to read ALL OF THOSE BOOKS!Continue reading “Most Anticipated Releases | October 2017”→
Publishers are slowly awakening from their summer holidays and that means we will receive more and more amazing titles each month! I feel like August will be a great month when it comes to new releases. I am definitely looking forward to a handful of them! Continue reading “Most Anticipated Releases | August 2017”→
