Autumn is usually filled with new releases. This October won’t be an exception. Even though there are more there hundreds of books coming out this month, I was very picky and chose my top 5 that I’m the most excited about!
One of them I already started reading, and let me tell you – it’s incredible!
September begins with some very exciting new releases! It’s interesting how hyped I get about the last books in the series I haven’t even started yet, but we will blame it on the bookish community and my sensitivity to all things bookish.
In my defense, I already own the first two Nevernight books so it’s only a matter of actually reading them.
It’s officially the 6th day of NEWTs, and I’ve yet to read any of the books from my readathon TBR. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Instead I picked up «Normal People» by Sally Rooney (It’s amazing btw!) and spent many hours looking at the upcoming releases.
There are some very exciting books coming out this month (i.e. «The Passenger» by John Marrs) and I was very lucky to get two ARCs – «Bursts of Fire», which I’m planning to read asap, and «Keeping Lucy» that I read in June!
There is only one downside to these “most anticipated releases” posts – I tend to request too many ARCs on Netgalley. Then they all get approved at the same time and I suddenly have tons of books that need to be read ASAP!
I still love seeing new releases and pick a few that spark my interest to share them on my blog.
July will be a great month for new releases! I’m the most excited about «The Merciful Crow» (that I didn’t get the ARC of) and «Stay and Fight» (that I’m going to start reading this week!).
It doesn’t matter how hard I try to closely follow the release of new books by my favorite authors or release of the sequels in my favorite series, there are always those books that escape my attention and catch me off guard!
This is exactly what we are going to talk about today!
This week’s TTT (Top Ten Tuesday) is “Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019”. However, since I post each month my most anticipated releases, I thought I would do something different and try to surprise you with some new books that are coming in the second half of 2019, that you might not be aware of!
Unlike May, June doesn’t have 300 new books that I’m excited to read. In fact, I was only able to find 8 books I was interested in! (Which usually never happens, as I want to read everything and at the same time!)
Some month I struggle to find new books to add to this post. While other months, there are so many of them that it becomes difficult to narrow the list down. This was the case for April. This post could go on and on forever!
I can’t even imagine what May will be like. Most of my current ARCs will be published in May and I haven’t even checked other new releases yet. But one step at a time! Let’s see what April brings us!
There are some months that are filled with the new and most excited releases (it seems as though Publishers much prefer January / May and September over the other months!) and then there are months when I browse the New Releases page on GoodReads / BookDepository and other websites for many many hours, and still cannot find anything that excites me.
In March, there were only 7 books that looked somewhat promising.
This year is going to have some of the most anticipated books on my list. To say that I’m excited would be an understatement. Just for the month of January, I managed to compile a list of 12 books that I’m looking forward to.
Months are flying so quickly! Just “yesterday” I posted my most anticipated releases for the month of June and now it’s already the 1st of July. Somehow time has been escaping me this year. Any tips on how to make it go slower? *idea for a new blog post *wink*
These posts are dangerous. Dangerous to my shelves and most importantly my wallet. Just when I thought I would give my wallet and bank account some rest from all the bookish purchases (my birthday was last month and I went a little bit overboard with book orders, oops…) here we are with more exciting new releases. Monthly post on the exciting new releases is finally back!
My To-Be-Read bookshelf on GoodReads has been slowly decreasing in size and that is not acceptable. Maybe I should rename it to “To-Be-Bought” instead? Because I feel that I only add books I am 100% sure I will eventually purchase and everything else is left forgotten and unnoticed. Although, many times I end up buying something that is not even on the shelf. Or maybe I am just scared of getting lost in my big virtual TBR pile? But that is subject for some other time. I’ve been loving this monthly “meme” of mine – looking for new releases, see what everyone else is excited about and just staying on top of the bookish market. So of course October was not going to be an exception and here I am once more to list all of the new booksI am the most excited about!
We had a massive influx of new and exciting books in September, and October is kind of falling behind, not being able to weigh up to September’s hype. But that is alright, we, readers, do need calmer months to make sure we have the time to read ALL OF THOSE BOOKS!Continue reading “Most Anticipated Releases | October 2017”→
September will be an AMAZING month for the bookish community! When it was time to write this post, I actually felt overwhelmed by the amount of great / popular books that are coming out in September. Some of them I am very excited about, some not so much, but it felt right to mention them regardless for those of you who is anticipating them more than I am!
