There is a pattern that starts repeating itself over and over – I fall in love with the first book in the series, find the concept so interesting, and then get highly disappointed by the second book. Maybe my reading tastes are slowly changing, or maybe they keep suffering from the “second book syndrome”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I saw that happening with the 2nd book in the Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson. Also the 2nd book in the Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and the 2nd book in the Dark Artifices series by Cassandra Clare.

Gambit by C.L.Denault | Another dystopian series to add to my TBR list!

It looks like quite a lot of new dystopian novels will be released this year! And I am very excited about that as I prefer a good dystopian novel to anything else! They are usually full of fights, intelligent inventions and worlds that could very easily be ours.

February Wrap Up | 2017

I am about to announce the most disastrous reading progress I’ve ever made! Are you ready?? In the month of February I read a total of three THREE books! That’s the least amount of books I’ve read in many many months and I am utterly ashamed of my poor effort.

Were they good books? Were they memorable? Did the amazing plots compensate for the poor amount? We shall find out!
