July TBR 2017 | The month of massive fantasy series! + Reading Poll!

Just like the previous month, I will not be making a TBR list because (A) I am not sure what exactly I want to read and (B) it seemed to work better for me when I didn’t have to follow the list, but instead set up some small goals that I will strive to achieve during the month. June Wrap Up | 2017

Don’t you love it when the first day of the month falls on the weekend? Because I do! Perfect timing to wrap up the previous month and set up reading and non-reading goals for the next month, and just taking some time off to recharge!

June was one of the best reading and blogging month this year, hopefully it treated you well too! If you can recall, for my June TBR I decided not to make an actual To-Be-Read pile but small goals that would keep me motivated and it worked wonders! Continue reading “June Wrap Up | 2017  “

Goals June 2017 | When TBR is not enough to cover all the “wants” in my head

The most important thing that I noticed about myself ever since I’ve started this blog is that the better and more productive the month is,  the more I want to achieve. Working on something that is only my own and seeing it coming together to more or less where I want it to be is a great, satisfying feeling! (Highly recommend to anyone, even if it’s as small as starting an Instagram page!) Continue reading “Goals June 2017 | When TBR is not enough to cover all the “wants” in my head”

May Wrap Up | 2017

Where do I even begin? May was busy and quickpassing, yet it felt way longer than previous months. Maybe because I was able to read, post, work and do tons of other things. If only I had so much energy every month of the year!

Classic-a-Month Reading Challenge | March and April Wrap Up

The year started strong with «Pride and Prejudice» by Jane Austen and then February came along with another case of reading slump. Most likely due to me trying to finish «The Book Thief» by Markus Zusak that I started in late August and just not enjoying it at all. It was a great story, but the writing or the Portuguese translation just didn’t get me into the world created by the author, but more about that below. May 2017 TBR | A month of ARC catching up!

Something exciting happened last month! I received the best present ever (besides a huge stack of books that I am going to haul in the next couple of days), I received my first ever Kindle Paperwhite!

I used to read all of my e-books on the Android Kindle app for my phone, but now! I can read when it’s sunny, I can read in the dark, I can read anywhere and everywhere and my eyes are grateful for the non-reflective screen!

This made me so excited that I went a little bit (A LOT) crazy with my NetGalley requests. Guilty! To my surprise almost all of them got approved! Which put me on top of a huge ARC e-book pile that I can’t climb down from. Continue reading “May 2017 TBR | A month of ARC catching up!”

April Wrap Up | 2017

The reading slump is officially over (as well as my Instagram slump!). I am so happy to be reading at my usual speed again and taking beautiful pictures of everything and anything bookish!

There is a very special person who always believes in me, no matter what I do or what phase I go through. Thank you very much for always being there for me! Continue reading “April Wrap Up | 2017”

March Wrap Up | 2017

Days are getting longer and brighter, there are so much more you can squeeze into 24 hours. That must be one of the main reasons why I love Spring so much. Spring usually came with greenness and flowers, rustling of new leaves and tweets, but since I moved to Portugal there is no distinctive season transition as I was used to before and I grew to love the daylight savings (the only change, besides temperature, that announces a new season).

Comparing to February, March was a “catching up” and “try to stay away from reading slump” month. I was able to catch up with my Classic a Month Reading Challenge, read some ARCs due in April and May, and just to enjoy my reading time overall. Continue reading “March Wrap Up | 2017”
