October 2020 Monthly Goals | The ARCs and new releases on my TBR!

I’m so excited for October! It’s going to be a great month, I can feel it! It’s finally getting colder. I started to light up candles around the house, and it’s no longer too hot to cuddle with a book under a blanket. 🍁

My plans for October got kind of ruined but how little I read in September. So instead of focusing on spooky reads as I was planning to, I will have to set other priorities for myself. But it’s totally cool, because I recently got approved for some amazing ARCs that I can’t wait to dive in!

Throughout the year I’ve been reading some spookier books that I feel are perfect for this time of the year, so my plan for October is to finally share my reviews of them. Some I loved, some I really didn’t like, but it’s always fun talking to you, guys, about books! Hopefully, we will have a lot to chat about this month! 🤗

OCTOBER MONTHLY GOALS:

1 – Read ARCs!
As always my number 1 priority of the month will be to stay on top of all my ARCs. And I recently was approved for the ARC of my most anticipated book of the YEAR! – «Fires of Vengeance», the second installment in the Burning series by Evan Winter. 🙌
2 – Finish the books I started.
Recently I’ve been really struggling with finishing books. I have no problem starting a new one, but once started I tend to lack motivation to keep going. So I have a couple of books I started in August and September that I’d love to finish this month.
3 – Some other books I’m excited about!
Most likely I won’t have time to get to these books, but I still wanted to share with you some of the books from my initial October TBR, that were supposed to be a bit more spooky. Also, the new Naomi Novik book came out in September and I really want to read it!

That’s a lot of books and, honestly, I don’t plan to read them all, but I do hope to read at least the ones I’m super excited about. The first one will definitely be «The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue». I started it a few weeks ago and plan to finish it before this post goes live.

What books will you be reading in October? Have you read any of the books I mentioned? I hope October will be a wonderful month! ❤

  1. Good luck with your goals, darlin’! I feel the struggle to finish books. I finished my first book in 2 months of not finishing one … it was so weird. But I’m now slowly getting back into wanting to read more. I loved Jane Eyre back in the day (for the most part) so I hope you enjoy it too! Good luck with your reading!

  3. The weather has been changing up here too and I am sooo happy for it! It doesn’t get that cold here because Florida, but still. It’s a lot nicer than it has been and toward the end of the year it won’t be high 90s anymore. Thank god haha.

Good luck reading your ARCs this month! I know I need to start focusing on some ARCs before the year ends. I want to clear out my Netgalley before the year ends since I’m a bit behind now. Hopefully you’ll have some time for one or two spooky books this month. ❤

It’s funny, quite a few people I’ve talked to have said that October is going to be great and they can feel it, so I hope you are right about that! 😊
    Happy October! 🍂

  5. It’s finally starting to feel like fall here, too, and that helps so much. I’ll be excited to hear what you think of The Searcher, and Jane Eyre is one of my favorite classics. It’s pretty perfect for this time of year. Happy Reading this month!

  7. I hope you enjoy all of these. I have to focus on ARCs too this month, so I think I’ll have to push some of my most anticipated reads like A Deadly Education and AddieLa Rue to November. Good luck with your goals, Alex!
