September 2020 Monthly Goals |It’s all about fantasy!

Remember last month I said that I’d take things easy and then ended up reading 8 books? Well, September was going to be the month to read LESS books, but then I suddenly received a bunch of ARCs from NetGalley. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m very close to reaching 100 books on Goodreads so that’s something I will easily accomplish. But I’m still planning to take things slower and focus on larger books. This year I’ve been trying to stay on top of the series I start and I think it’s actually somewhat working. Summer was a little bit hectic, with the Reading Rush, ARCs and just things to catch up on, I put the series aside. I’m about to change this with my new set of monthly goals!

SEPTEMBER MONTHLY GOALS:

1 – Read ARCs for October!
I was recently approved for some exciting October ARCs, so of course I’ll be prioritizing them this month! But I also have a couple from last year that I really want to read… [they are all fantasies, btw! 😍 ]
2 – Read fantasy series.
This month I’ll be focusing on 4 series. I’m very excited to read the next installment in The Diviners series by Libba Bray – I read the first book earlier this year and would love to finish this series before the year ends; Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger and The Daevabad Trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty.

I’m very excited about all of these books and it’s been a while since I read only fantasy, so hopefully, this will be a great month! Besides reading and blogging, there will be a lot of studying to do, but I’m excited about it as well 😀

I hope you all have a wonderful September! What books will you be reading this month?

    1. Thank you! 😘 Addie LaRue is the one I’m probably the most excited about, but also a little scared of. The hype around it is real, and not so many people read it yet to provide a wide range of opinions. What if I don’t like it????? 👀

  1. My ARC pile is about to topple over here. My goal to be more picky kind of fell apart over the summer. I’m trying to be better, but it’s so hard. Ha! I’ve only read the first in The Diviners series and it was a loooong time ago. Someday, I want to do a reread and then finish the series. Happy Reading!

    1. Thank you! 🙂 I also have some books on pre-order that are coming out this month – the new Paolini book and the new Haig book, so hopefully I’ll be able to read them this month as well *fingers crossed*
So many books so little time!

Me and my bf have been trying to wake up at 6 am every single day (doesn’t always work…) to have some extra time to do things. I mostly use that time to read or blog hop. Lol

    1. Thank you so much ❤ I couldn't believe my eyes when I got the e-mail from NetGalley saying my request was approved! I actually requested two different versions / editions of it. One was declined, but another one accepted!!! Wheeee!!! 😀

    1. My plan is to finish the book I’m currently reading + read one of the middle grades and then start the Addie LaRue one! Hopefully this Sunday *fingers crossed* so I can dedicate the whole day to it. My expectations are pretty high, not gonna lie 😀

    1. I’m so so excited about all of them! I’m trying to free up my Sundays a bit so I can spend the majority of them reading 🙂 Yeah… the ARC guilt is a real thing. This year I’ve been doing quite well tbh, but I still have 4 ARCs from 2019 that I haven’t read and that makes me feel sooo guilty… Lol
I hope you’ll get to some ARCs this month! Happy reading, hun ❤

    1. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! 😀 I’m very excited about all of these books, but I know I’ll have to put reading aside for now, just a little bit, while focusing on studying… The thing is though, is that I don’t even know yet if my exams will be in Nov / Dec or in June of next year… *facepalm* Lol

  3. I’m currently reading The Witcher series so I may keep an eye on Tower of Fools (which I knew nothing about?)
I’m planning on reading some brazilian classics and dive into some new series starting with Red Sister and Trail of Lightning🤗
Hope you have a great September! ✨

    1. So cool! I was planning to start Witcher this year, but then never did… now it got pushed to the next year. Lol
The Tower of Fools was actually first published in 2012 or 2013 (smth like that) and this will be a re-publication.
Red Sister is all on my TBR 😀 I hope you’ll love it!
Thank you so much! Here’s to an amazing September 🥂
