Most Anticipated Releases | September 2020

There are so many amazing books coming out next month! The one I’m the most excited about is «To Sleep in a Sea of Stars» by Christopher Paolini. I was lucky to receive an excerpt from NetGalley (and when I say excerpt, it’s probably almost 200 pages long, because this book is a BEAST!).

I read it in July and loved it! The excerpt ended quite well, actually. It felt more like the first book in a series rather than a part of a bigger novel, so I’m feeling satisfied but very curious to find out what happens next. I’m actually going to break my “no pre-order” rule and purchase this book right now so I can receive it as soon as it is released!

Now that we got that out of the way, these are the September releases I’m the most excited about:

  1. I’m excited to read One by One by Ruth Ware. So far I’ve only read The Turn of the Key by her. How about you? Also, that Fredrik Backman books sounds like quite a ride! Might have to check that one out. I’ve heard amazing things about his other books.

    1. I haven’t read any Ruth Ware yet. The Turn of the Key is on my TBR though. I thought I’d had time to read it by now, but nope… still on my shelves 😀 One by One is actually going to be either October or November pick for the Literally Dead Book Club. I’m currently reading their August pick – Home Before Dark by Riley Sager. Enjoying it so far 🙂

      1. The Turn of the Key is such a weird book for me. I had a really hard time trying to figure out my rating. On one side I liked it, it had some really fun elements. But on the other side I had some mixed feelings and it felt kind of like a 3 star book. But it’s been a year since I read it and it’s still quite vivid in my mind, so maybe I liked it more than I thought. 😂

  4. I have a digital ARC of To Sleep in a Sea of Stars but will probably wait until I can hold a physical copy – it’s a BIG book. The Bone Shard Daughter is definitely on my TBR and I didn’t realize Piranesi was coming out so soon – on the TBR it goes!

  5. Okay but To Sleep in a Sea of Stars looks AMAZING! I’ve never read like a full adult fantasy space opera, but this one looks so intriguing and I think I might just have to do it. Also planning to read my first Fredrik Backman book next month – I have Beartown sitting on my shelves! I hope you love all of these releases! ♥

  6. So many great books coming next month! I’m also excited for Anxious People, but I doubt I’ll get to it soon since I didn’t get an ARC. I have 7 ARCs for September so I’ll be busy. I think I might have overextended myself. 😉 Happy Reading!

    1. Good luck! 🙂 I’m actually all set with my September arcs (feels good to be ahead for once! lol) I have a couple of October and November ones, but I also plan to read only one specific genre in September, so hopefully, I’ll be able to read some ARCs but also some of my physical TBR, which keeps growing and growing… 😀

    1. The Bone Shard Daughter was VERY good! If you have a chance to pick it up, highly recommend it. And I’m very excited to read Majesty as well. American Royals was a lot of fun, I expect Majesty to be the same (maybe even better?) 😀
