The Mystery Blogger Award | Ft. Peter Pan, 2019 Goals and Blogging Changes!

I was tagged by the fellow blogger and my friend, Meghan from Meghan’s Whimsical Explorations & Reviews! She has a super power to write tons of reviews in a very short period of time (that I’m a little bit jealous of). Thank you for the tag! 🙂

The Rules:

1 – Put the award logo/image on your blog
2 – List the rules.
3 – Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
4 – Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well
5 – Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
6 – You have to nominate 10 – 20 people
7 – Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
8 – Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
9 – Share a link to your best post(s)

This tag was created by Okoto @ OkotoEnigmasBlog. I had to do some searching to find this out 😀

1 – Where is your favorite place to be in the world?

Home. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’m a huge home-buddy. Life is very hectic and I always need to return to my safe place to relax my mind and get ready for the next day.

2 – If you could be any cartoon character who would you be?

Oh, this one is difficult. I haven’t watched any cartoons in forever. I used to love Peter Pan cartoon when I was little, and always wanted to be like Wendy. So I guess I’ll choose her. 🙂

3 – What was the last thing you said out loud?

Ahah, I was just on the phone with my mom, so the last thing would be “kisses, bye”. 😀 She was telling me how much fun they had at the beach today.

4 – Do you have any goals for 2019? If so what are they?

Earlier this year I posted my reading goals, that I actually printed out and put on the wall  in front of my table, so I wouldn’t forget about them.

When it comes to my non-reading goals, the main and most important is to get all the stuff done for my internship that I have to deliver before April next year.

5 – Would you change anything about blogging in general?

I love blogging! And the bookish community. Everyone is so nice and supportive, and helpful. I don’t think I’d change anything, but I do have one wish. I wish we would be more supportive of review posts. As of right now, most of the posts that have some interaction between the bloggers are usually the tags or discussion posts, which makes sense, but I’d like for the reviews to get more attention too.

THE QUESTIONS:

1 – How often do you visit your local library?
2 – What’s your policy on lending books?
3 – What is your favorite food to snack on while reading?
4 – Share your favorite blog post!
5 – Do you keep your books organized?

THE NOMINEES:

Elaine | Ashley | Nick | Ally | Bailey | Sofii | Marta | Kiera | Emily | Brin

I’m looking forward to see your answers! And as always no pressure to do this tag. If I didn’t tag you, but you’d like to do this post anyway, feel free to join and send me your link, so I can see your answers. 🙂

  1. Literally would have given all the same answers! Home is my absolute number 1 place to be and I always have to back and recharge (I also call my room my safe space as an inside joke between me and my boyfriend!😂) and being Wendy is an childhood dream, still wouldn’t mind being her now tbh! Yes to review posts getting more attention! They are the ones we work so hard on yet get the least back for it!

    1. I love reading on the terrace / varanda in the evening, it’s the most calming experience ever (for me). And the only place I can focus on the book without being constantly interrupted by someone or some noises. I love it ❤ Finally finished «Miracle Creek» last night while sitting in the dark on the varanda 😀 My bf was constantly wondering if I'm alright there, ahaha.

  2. YEAY MEGHAN! She’s such a sweetheart … and she’s a fellow Canadian ❤

I love that you put HOME and the GIF you chose. I think I have to agree. Either home or the cottage I used to go to as a kid.

Peter Pan was my favourite as a kid!! The concept of never growing up appealed to me a lot ha-ha! I always wanted to be Kari from Digimon as a kid ha-ha!

AWEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! "Kisses, bye"!!! That's so flippin' adorable!!

Also … I'm not gonna lie … but I REALLY want to copy your image layout idea you used for your goals. It makes your posts look way more professional!

I agree with the review ones. Luckily, I find people have ACTUALLY been commenting on my reviews which is nice. I always want to know how they are and also what other people think. I find if the reviews are shorter people are more inclined to comment, so I think I'm going to attempt to do that ha-ha.

Congrats on the nomination, love! ❤

    1. Meghan has the superpower to review books. I don’t know how she always keeps on top of all the reviews. I just see her tweets saying she finished the book and the next day BAM! review is up on her blog. I already told her that she needs to share her secrets with the community 😀

Home and being with people I love is the only place when I can relax after very busy and hectic days. Working in a law firm, I’m constantly dealing with other people’s problems, so it’s nice to just sit down and relax at the end of the day (doesn’t happen very often though 😀 )

I made that with Canva I think. Or I took the idea from Canva and made it in Photoshop, but I’m sure Canva was involved somehow. Ahaha. And thank you 🙂

      1. I knooooooowwww! I need her mad skills! MEGHAN!!! SHARE YOUR SECRETS!

Oh gosh, I bet. When I was contemplating working for a law firm, I did a “volunteer” day where I got to go around and see what kind of word I’d be handling … so awesome on you. It’s not easy!

Oooo! I love Canva! I made my feature images with that using my own photos and the fonts they have available!

  3. Haha! I laughed out loud at the review superpower! 😂Definitely going to own that! Speaking of, I have a review waiting for me to write and I’m just like uhhhh. I made some incoherent notes after I finished the book so that should be fun! 😄

I have to agree with you, I’m such a home-body too! Like, don’t get me wrong I love to go out and all, but coming home, the best! Not going to lie, after my first week away I was so ready to come home, obviously definitely glad I stayed for the second week 😛

I love that you printed out your goals! That keeps you more accountable for them, such a smart idea! I should learn a thing or two! 😀
I’m glad you did this tag! 😀 ❤️

  4. Thank you SO much for the nomination, honey! Honestly, I love your blog, so it’s an honor for me ❤️
I’m a huge home-buddy too, so I feel identified with that! and I think the same about reviews, I personally LOVE reviews, I don’t know why, but I love them, so it would be incredible that more people will support them since they take so much work, right? 😊

Congrats on your nomination and I hope you have a beautiful day! 😘
