June & July Wrap Up [2018] | Throne of Glass Obsession!

It is the 12th of August as I am writing this and I’ve come to realize that:

(A) the summer is almost over! There is only August left and, while I happen to live a walking distance from the beach, I’ve only gone a couple of times this year and I have to remedy this as soon as possible!

(B) I’ve been far more into fantasy this summer with a comparison to last year when all I practically read were contemporary and literary fiction all day every day. And

(C) Throne of Glass is actually an AMAZING SERIES WITH A LOT OF ACTION, DRAMA & BETRAYALS. Who would have thought that I’d fall in love with Throne of Glass, after absolutely hating the Court of Thorns and Roses?! It’s a mystery for me too.

*The list could go on and on. I love lists. But who doesn’t?

Speaking about the Throne of Glass series, I binge read the 2nd through 4th books during June / July and currently working my way through the 5th books – Empire of Storms

*The picture above shows Queen of Shadows as my current read, but I actually managed to finish it at the beginning of August and started the next book in the series right away.

With so much happening in Erilea, each book got a bit longer, much more eventful and absolutely captivating. I might be getting slightly tired of Sarah J. Maas writing and will need to read something else soon, but it is a wonderful fantasy series that kept me glued to the pages for a couple of months now.

P.S. Also Manon Blackbeak is my absolute favorite and I’m living for those brave, reckless scenes.

«Nyxia Unleashed» came out on July 17th and it was AMAZING! If you haven’t read the first book in this new badass series by Scott Reintgen, I’m not sure what you are waiting for! There are (1) dystopian world, (2) tough competition, (3) space missions, (4) new planet and (5) contact with aliens!  If you are still not convinced, check out my reviews on the first (Nyxia by Scott Reintgen) and second (Nyxia Unleashed by Scott Reintgen) books for more fangirling moments.

Maybe you haven’t noticed yet, but I went completely crazy and spent hours & hours organizing all of my 200+ blog posts, that includes reviews, book tags, wrap-ups and all of the posts that I managed to accumulate over the years.

My advice to someone who is just starting a blog, CREATE ORGANIZATION SYSTEM A.S.A.P! I was always uncertain about how I want to organize my posts and what categories I should create, and after a few years of blogging I ended up with an absurd amount of posts that had no “home”.

I have to admit that it felt very good to see my main menu well organized and everything sorted by categories.

I love how it looks! I love how tidy it feels & I had to share this with all of you!

How is your summer going? It is unbearably hot outside? Did you have your vacation yet? Let me know in the comments down below!

  1. SCREAMING because I saw “Throne of Glass obsession” and needed to join you to fangirl 😍I wasn’t a huge fan of the ACOTAR series, but Throne of Glass blew me away!! Manon is such a badass and I love seeing her cold heart slowly melt ❤ Your heart is going to break from the ending in Empire of Storms, but you're going to love it and hate it at the same time. Keep me updated!!

  2. I have no idea how the same author who wrote Throne of Glass created that hot mess of what we know as the ACOTAR series. haha. Empire of Storms KILLED me. I’m currently reading Tower of Dawn (Chaol’s novel) and you can definitely see how much SJM has grown in her writing as far as this series goes. I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the ride!
I just read Nyxia Unleashed, too. I can’t wait for the third book. Ughhhhhh. What a wait. I love Nyxia’s covers. Glad to see more people discovering his books.
I currently organize my book reviews by year read… I’m wondering if I should organize by genre and age group because if someone doesn’t read as much as I do, they would have no idea what sort of books I’ve been reviewing. Whoops!
